Furthermore, Jim spoke about the necessary help for Veterans, considering that one Veteran takes their life every 65 minutes, and 22 per day. He also discussed his journey with depression and anxiety.

On the right Jim was given the humble and amazing opportunity to be the Keynote Speaker at the graduation ceremony at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, where he is an alumnus twice over. This opportunity gave Jim the chance to speak to the Upward Bound graduating class of 2022.
Jim has been on the Summer staff of Upward Bound as a Spanish teacher since 2016.
In the Spring of 2022, Jim spoke at the “Dominate the 18” goalkeeping camp, run by Mr. Bob Pipech. At this camp, Jim discussed the importance of the mental game of goalkeeping. It was a great opportunity for Jim to share two of his great passions – mental health and goalkeeping!
For two years, in November of 2021 and November of 2022, Jim has has spoken about mental health with the North Pocono (Moscow, Pennsylvania) Girls Soccer team. Both talks were in anticipation for the team fundraising for the Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative, based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Over the two fundraising events, the North Pocono Girls Soccer community has raised well over $2,000.
Below you can see some of the photos from the fundraising events, including some of the items that were raffled off to raise money, and some of the signs that the players made that were put around the fence of the stadium.
